Sprinkled With Love

Welcome to Sprinkled With Love! I started this blog in 2009 when I started taking Wilton cake decorating classes, as a way to share my decorated cakes with others. Since then my family & friends have kept me busy creating birthday cakes, wedding cakes & more. Sprinkled with love has grown to be so much more since then. Please take a look around to see what I have been up to, and remember, share some love and leave a comment!

Looking back at Maui One Year Later: Our Condo

It has been one year since my husband and I visited the amazing island of Maui.  It was an incredible trip that we will both remember for the rest of our lives.  Over the coming week I am going to share some of the favourite places we visited, tours we took, and restaurants where we ate.

One of the Amazing views found on Maui

We flew from Edmonton, AB to Kahului, Maui, via Vancouver, BC on West Jet.  The flight was nice and smooth, and West Jet treated us great.  My luggage got a bit beat up on the trip, however, they offered to fix it for me or give me $100 credit with West Jet, which I felt was very fair. I decided to take the credit, and the lady helping me bumped it up to $120.  She was great.

I was in love the moment we arrived.  The weather was great, and one of our friends who flew in earlier, had already rented a car and checked us into our condo.  He picked us up at the airport and drove us to our condo at Aina Nalu in Lahaina.

Our condo was great.  It had two bedrooms, two bathrooms and was seperated by a living room area and full kitchen.  We had a washer/dryer, towels, and the kitchen was well stocked.

Each condo had a patio and the pool on the property was great. There were cabanas if you wanted shade, and they had an Expedia representative onsite to book tours through.

I highly recommend the Aina Nalu.  The location was very convienient, as we could walk to the beach and find lots of shops and restaurants.  You can book through Outrigger Aina Nalu or do as we did and rent privately from an owner on such sites as Vacation Rentals By Owner.  We felt that the price we paid were very reasonable.

Stop by tomorrow to read about our trip to Haleakala National Park where we viewed the most amazing sunrise ever!

Have you ever travelled to Maui?  If so, where did you stay?  Did you love it?

  1. Nice! The condo unit looks very cozy and relaxing. It’s nice that it also has a patio and a pool with it. It is pretty amazing place for parties and small get-togethers.

  3. I love the shower! This reminds me of the resort we visited last summer. Cool! ;) Likewise, what’s nice about your place is the beautiful amenities that it has. If you’re really into swimming, you’ll definitely love living there! :D
